Bog Treasure

Fresh cranberry-orange infused ice cream

After Vikings colonized the New World, they found the winters so mild compared to Scandinavia that they decided to hold a feast of thanks to their gods. Their leader, Thorvald Muck-Raker, set out to find the right dessert. While clearing trolls from a nearby bog, he discovered a bright-red berry growing beneath the water. By combining the berries with some oranges they had traded the natives for, Thorvald created a tangy but sweet ice cream that made the perfect dessert.

Made with cranberries hand-picked by Paul, owner of Gregory Farms in Silverdale.
